At Blue Isle Swimwear, we believe that the perfect swimsuit should feel like a second skin — flattering, timeless, and designed to last. Frustrated by fast-changing fashion trends and swimsuits that never quite fit right, we set out to create something different: a collection of effortlessly stylish swimwear that never goes out of fashion.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

Back in 2020, during the start of the pandemic, founder Avery Mills set out to find the perfect bikini--something timeless, flattering, and well-made. When she couldn't find what she was looking for at a reasonable price, she decided to sew one herself. Friends quickly took notice and began asking for custom pieces of their own. What began as a creative solution soon turned into a small business, with Avery handcrafting swimsuits for friends, family, and eventually customers across 30+ states and several countries.

In late 2021, Avery paused the business to focus on college, internships, and building experience in the marking and PR industries. Now, five years after sewing her first bikini, she has relaunched her brand under a new name--Blue Isle Swimwear. With the same sustainability mission at heart, the brand now includes new designs, improved techniques, and a deeper commitment to ethical craftsmanship and ocean-minded initiatives.

WHERE WE ARE NOW

Blue Isle Swimwear has stayed true to its sustainable roots--now with an evolved, refined approach. Every piece is still hand-sewn and designed by Avery herself in Florida, ensuring that each suit is made ethically, thoughtfully, and with care from the founder's hands to yours.

Today's designs reflect years of experience, featuring elevated techniques and updated materials that prioritize fit, comfort, and longevity. Each collection is intentionally created with timeless silhouettes that resist fast-fashion cycles--pieces you'll reach for season after season.

In a world of overconsumption and fleeting trends, Blue Isle takes a slow, intentional approach. We produce in small batches to reduce waste and avoid overproduction, creating high-quality swimwear that's made to last and love.
